“Heather’s affinity with dogs is remarkable and her enthusiasm is infectious”

Cindy, Richmond

Heather trained her first dog, the family GSD, in 1964.  After joining a local dog training club with another family dog in 1979, Heather started to handle a variety of breeds and also focus on how dogs communicate.

In 1985 Heather set up a dog training club to help rescue dog owners to better understand and resolve behavioural issues.  Since then Heather has helped many dogs, puppies, and owners to communicate more easily - she says “dogs deserve brilliant owners who will take a little time to understand them”.

“My relationship with my dog has improved tenfold since I met Heather”
Lisa, Catterick

Heather is experienced in competition Obedience, Heelwork to Music, and Agility, and teaches these various canine disciplines, alongside the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme. She also organises dog shows and has raised £thousands for canine charities over the years. She currently manages Phoenix Paws, an Educational Canine Demonstration Team.

“I would certainly recommend Heather to anyone”
Paula, Spennymoor

As a qualified Reiki Practitioner, Heather includes energy/emotional balancing in the rehabilitation of rescue dogs in her care.
